Julie is your host at Ladies Touring Tenerife — a warm and welcoming British woman who has been living in Tenerife for over 30 years and speaks Spanish fluently. More than anything, she is passionate about helping women feel comfortable and at ease from the moment they arrive. Her role is not to replace professional guides, but to be a calm and familiar presence throughout your hosted experience. She helps the group settle in, supports a welcoming atmosphere and provides reassurance at key points throughout the week. Tours, excursions and structured experience elements are planned within the booking framework and, where appropriate, delivered with the support of experienced local guides and licensed suppliers. With her steady presence and approachable manner, guests feel supported without pressure, and part of a warm, welcoming group of women sharing meaningful experiences together.

Julie’s Story
I first came to Tenerife in 1990 to work in tourism, and over the years the island became home. Most of my working life has been spent helping visitors get the most out of their time here.
After many years living and working in the south of Tenerife, I moved to Puerto de la Cruz in 2018 for what was supposed to be six months. I’m still here today. Moving to the north opened up a completely different side of Tenerife for me — greener landscapes, historic streets, gardens, local restaurants and a much stronger connection to the island’s history and culture.
Through meeting visitors over the years, and through the Puerto de la Cruz community I became part of, I realised that many women wanted to travel, but didn’t necessarily want to travel alone — and didn’t want a large coach tour either. They wanted something smaller, more personal, and well organised.
Ladies Touring Tenerife grew from that idea. These are small-group hosted experiences designed to help women feel comfortable, confident and well looked after while discovering a different side of Tenerife.
